It just works. - Biking

I have one for my bike and can commute to work even in the harsh Michigan winter. Works well on ice and gets through the mud. Plan to get a second front tire soon but on badly cleared roads/parking lots you can defiantly just get the rear tire to work but you have to be very careful in corners. The snow is over 2 inches and it's going to be very difficult to get through, at least on my Walmart bike.

I am very happy with the performance of these tires

I am very happy with the performance of these tires but extremely unhappy with their quality. I've ridden about 50 miles on almost clear ice and packed snow and have already lost at least 25 studs on my rear wheel. On the front wheel is less, but a lot. Many other bobby pins are now sitting in their places at odd angles, obviously just waiting to fall out. I followed the recommended soft brake/cleat settings on the pavement before hitting the road. That makes no sense. In this scenario I need…

Game Chager for Winter Cycling

I've been riding these tires in western Alaska for 2.5 months. The main use is commuting to/from work. In the past month, the road has turned to ice. No problem, and the tires easily handle corners and icy ridges in the road. Last weekend I rode the River Ice Road, never slipped. Deep snow on the track is a test, and tires won't help you here. As others have recommended, I installed the spikes after driving 25+ miles on the road/sidewalk before snow and ice hit. I have NOT lost a single bolt…

Excellent winter mountain bike tire for trail ice and light snow

Nokian Extreme directional studded tire (rear) for several years, but you can easily use this tire both front and rear. In light snow up to 2 inches deep and of course on ice, this tire is unbeatable. In deeper snow, the studs don't matter, but the tread pattern offers better traction than most conventional tires. Nokian) shine and pay for themselves when you're flying downhill and cornering only to hit a chunk of ice that's bare or lightly snow-covered. With traditional tires, you'll slam fast

Pros
  • psi: 26-54
Cons
  • Only available in white
