We love the Schwinn balance bike we bought for my 2.5 year old son! Especially when compared to his friend's Strider bike, the Schwinn wins by a wide margin (in our opinion). Here's why: 1. Bought this for my 3 year old who is quite tall for his age. He's about 44 inches tall so he's probably about the height of a 4 year old. When a child is in the saddle, the heels should not touch the ground and the front toes of their boots should touch the ground slightly, as if standing on tiptoe. This pink 12" Schwinn balance bike is cute - with a capital M! Easy to assemble, takes less than 10 minutes with a couple of wrenches and no need to look at the instructions. The rear tire leaked the first day after 20 minutes of very light riding indoors on the hardwood floor, but it only costs about $10 to fix at a local shop.
