Schwinn Bicycle Water Bottle Colors Review

For the price, how could you go wrong. Also, I needed two of these, so this worked great. The bottle fits snugly in the mount and the mounting holes fit our two bikes perfectly. It's not a vacuum flask, but I don't need it. Also, for those complaining about the missing fittings... Try opening the bottle because it's all in there :-) And in any case, your bike should already have fittings.

So we bought this to fit our 26" kids bike but it barely fits. The holes were standard, but installation required screws and an allen wrench (or a bike tool - we had both, so we were good). After installation it became apparent that the size of the frame would make it difficult to insert and remove the bottle. For us that means you have to stop the bike to get it out and have a drink. moral of the story. Only purchase this product if you have a full size adult bike. Hooray!

I actually had some difficulty fitting the existing holes on my Schwinn bike. That was because my wrenches were part of a collapsible set and that was the problem. It was a bit difficult to turn the keys as the metal holds the tension on the bottle. After much maneuvering and only being able to turn the screw 1/4-1/2 turn before it had to be repositioned, I finally secured it. Works well and does a great job. Good quality bottle cage and bottle. They give you mounting hardware if you don't have pre-drilled holes in your bike frame. It is good that the bottle is equipped with a lid so that dirt does not fall down the spout. I don't ride in the mud so I take off the clear plastic cap, it gets in the way when drinking. I never thought I'd be reviewing this but I'm also amazed at how hard it was to find a bottle and cage that go well together. Most were too tight, some too loose. This fit is perfect, I would have preferred a different lid because it has a curved surface that makes it a bit more difficult to operate with one hand, but that's not a big deal.
