Great Deal: Fuel Pumps and Accessories

When the motor in my fuel pump failed I bought a universal pump which takes about 5 minutes more to install but saves $50 compared to a pump with a fuel sender unit. It's worth the $50 savings for the extra 5 minutes. It installs easily and works just as well as the factory one.

Holds pressure well but never hits 50psi on take off and never has.

Error. Installed, everything was there the next day. Fuel pressure is up to 50psi. 1993 Astro. Fuel pressure must be at least 50psi for the injectors to fire. This device can reach up to 42psi and that's it. Holds pressure well but never gets to 50psi on start and never starts the van due to low pressure. For 93 Astro the required fuel pressure is 58-64psi. I went to Napa and bought a Bosch #69238 for $65. Works perfectly. Holds 54psi inches at idle.

There is a lot of value here.

It says ECCP on the box, I looked for it and didn't find the warmest reviews. Of course, this fuel pump is made in China, but surprisingly the build quality looks fantastic. For $11, it comes with a hanger/mounting gasket, new fuel pump braid, strainer, pump hanger pad/gasket and anti-vibration fuel pump grommet, and a 2" hose to attach the pump to the hanger outlet. and two super crappy hose clamps. . By the way, if you buy this, don't use crappy plastic hose clamps, use properly sized metal…
