Therefore the description of this item needs to be changed. It attaches to the Volkswagen door, but it's for a 5.25 speaker. I would return it but it's too much hassle. If you are looking for this 5.25 adapter then yes, but it is listed as 6.5.

While I understand it wasn't made for the 2019 Jetta, all they have to do to make it compatible is increase the height by about 1/ 4" 4 inches to reduce so the speaker comes out of the door panel, and they're not worth it anyway because you screw the speaker into flimsy, flimsy plastic, so you can't push the speaker tight as necessary.

Perfect fit, pay attention to where TOP is written on the bracket and make sure it is on top of the lmao. WARNING: They are only suitable for 6.5 inch speakers. I spoke to a Crutchfield customer service rep to confirm that the speakers I purchased were in fact 6.5" speakers because, quote, "Some speaker manufacturers don't seem to have tape measures in their factories." Crutchfield one must love.

They don't fit my Infinity 6.5" speakers. Speakers that were bought a long time ago and could not be returned for 5.25 inches that would fit these adapters. I can't return the adapters because I already installed them like an idiot before I tested the speakers, so because someone couldn't understand how to use the ruler I had to spend another $300 for 4 more speakers, the 5, 25 were. They fit even though the original speakers are 6.5 inches.

This adapter will only work if you are replacing a broken/old factory 4.5" speaker with a new aftermarket 4.5" speaker. This adapter will NOT fit other sizes. This item's description is vague and has received some low reviews due to false expectations, but the quality is good. This worked perfectly for me. The adapter comes with no screws or a double-sided shape, which is the reason for the cheap price. I would definitely buy it again for other future replacements.

I have a 2000 VW GOLF TDi GL 3 door. I bought these for use in the front doors as they are described for use in this application. How well done, the only drawback. THEY WILL NOT FIT MY 2000 VW GOLF. At least not for a 6.5" speaker. If I rotate the adapter, the speakers would fit in the back of the adapter. But then the adapter won't fit the door holes because the smaller side has to face the interior of the car or the speaker .Uses 6.5" Rockford R165X3 Prime speakers.

I used these SAVW6 adapters on the front doors of my 2000 VW New Beetle. After drilling out the old factory aluminum rivets, I used them to replace them (what a pain).
