After I put it to the test, this mount proved to be very sturdy and durable. It was super easy to install and gave my boat a sleek, professional look. The only downside is that it's a bit pricier than some other anchor mounts on the market. However, given the quality of this product, I believe it's well worth the investment.

Works great with my kayak anchor. However, it must actually be inserted into your Scotty mount and not just sit in your drawer. If you capsize otherwise, it will fall to the bottom along with the anchor attached to it. I speak from experience but I liked it so much I got a replacement.

On a windy day, a Scotty Anchor Lock - 276 on the bow keeps my Aquaglide Blackfoot Angler 130 inflatable kayak in place. It attaches to a universal nose mount for accessories. I can fish or enjoy my lunch while anchored. We usually tie our second NRS Star Pike 12.5 kayak to my kayak. He holds onto both kayaks.
