Every tool bag needs it.

Quality tool, usual Kline quality. I've had several different styles of AWL, I really like this one. It's a tool I use a lot and wouldn't want to be without. Please note that there is a more powerful version that I almost bought. I don't understand why a heavier awl is needed, it's very thick.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Volume

GREAT FOR PUNCHING HOLES IN WHAT YOU NEED.

To be honest I use it to punch holes in things that need punching. Ideal for crushing ice on hard and difficult to damage surfaces. The only thing to worry about is never to use a hammer on this item as the yellow handle will break. The thing isn't cheap, but it's not designed for rough handling.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far

Leather straps with holes are needed to get them where they need to be.

My waist ranges from 31" to 34" year round. So now my leather straps can be easily adjusted to my personal fit. I doubt I would consider this a proper weapon, but it sure can poke holes anywhere you want. This will likely only anger the attacker, but there are endless uses around the house if you don't want to blunt your benchmade knife or whatever knife you prefer.

High quality! So many uses!

This awl is perfect! Thanks to the rubberized grip, the awl is very comfortable to hold. The shaft is a good length for use in many projects. I mainly use the awl for scribing and driving screws and it holds up well when hit with a hammer. The tool is very high quality and well made. I recommend this product. Please note if my review was helpful to you. Thanks very much!

Curved awl - hand tool

Not only the tip is slightly curved, the entire shaft is completely curved! It must be a manufacturing defect, not shipping damage. And I'm totally amazed that Klein packed and shipped it. Gone are the days when American Made meant high quality, I think. I sent this awl back and will look for another awl from a German manufacturer instead. Really surprised by Klein in this case.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Great for screwdrivers and wrenches

I bought this because Klein makes quality tools and I was told an awl should be a good thing in a toolbox. Didn't expect to use it often but would be glad to have it if I did. I knew it would be a quality tool. What surprises me is how often I use it. Clean nozzles and glue bottle caps. Rounding off holes in flat tubes. Remove hair or tissue debris from drain plug. It's not just for piercing belts, folks!

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Hard to say

Suitable for most I think.

This is a scratch number and if that's all you use it for I'm sure it will do the job. The steel of the shaft is relatively hard, but it tends to bend rather than bend, so it can sometimes be difficult to get a visible scratch on the steel. scratch with an awl. I would like to trade a very comfortable vinyl grip for a through bar design. I want to be able to score with an awl like I have been doing with my old awl for over 40 years. When I find my old reliable tool I will remove this new one.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall
Cons
  • Doubtful
