🚲 Trunk Bike Rack Scratch Protectors (Pack) Review

I was afraid of scratching my BMW with the bike carrier I bought. I was looking for a solution and found this one. They are perfect for protecting my car from scratches with bike rack hooks.

Expensive piece of plastic. Instead of scratching the inside where the hook goes, I get scratches on the outside where it touches the barrel. Didn't fix the scratch issue, just created a new one.

Easy to use and my SUV perfectly protected. I'm pretty picky about my car and this took care of possible scratches. The product is larger than any clips I have used making them perfect for use with any rack!

When I bought a bike rack, I knew that hooks on the surface of the car would be problematic. It really gave me an extra layer of contact protection. Protects 100%? No, as long as you moderate your expectations realistically, you will be fine with that.

The prices seem very high to me and I could probably come up with something similar myself. but they work great. I have a new car and was concerned about the paint scratch on my bike rack. They work, but you could probably do the same thing for a lot less just by putting tape on the hooks.

These are nothing but thin plastic squares with multiple slots for metal clips. The problem is that the slots weren't big enough for the Allen bike rack I bought, which by the way is one of the most popular bike racks out there. I don't think they will last very long either. Rather than returning them I decided to just throw them away as I should have known better when I bought them - they are way overpriced for what they are made of.

great product. This is a solution for using the luggage rack. These things are easy to install, stay in place, are the right size...well, you get the idea, someone thought of it. The same goes for hanging and tying bikes properly so you don't mess up your car. Forget about home-made options for protecting the trunk lid, I checked. Handy product! These protectors work great to keep my car in good condition. I've had them for a week now and there is no doubt that using the trunk will not damage my car's paintwork. The material seems to be holding up well and I think it's an easy fix to protect my trunk from scratches. When installing the trim strips for the first time, do this slowly and carefully as you attach them to your trunk panel.
