Best center finder for people who hate math

I hate math I use my adjustable one square piece to try to get as close to center as possible, but there always seems to be something off and it takes some fine tuning to get it right. It literally takes seconds with this tool and I wish it was sooner in my arsenal of tools. One thing that didn't catch my eye at first, and that will come in handy, is that one of the pens includes a magnet that you can use to attach it to metal surfaces. The thickness gauge on the side is a nice touch too.

First study all the markings on the practice blanks

I bought two packs to keep one and share the other with my dad. We watched a product demo at a hardware store. We searched Amazon and found these 2 packs for the same price as the single version. This is practically the same product but at a lower price. The build quality is remarkable and I used a mechanical pencil to fill in the hole. Simple, accurate, convenient and at a great price!

Great little tool for drawing precise center lines on any board up to 2 1/2" wide. It's very, very easy to use. Just make sure you're using a regular, well-sharpened #2 pencil. It also allows you to mark off-center lines and is designed to hold a pencil while magnetizing it on a toolbox. And it's inexpensive. It's so convenient to pick it up right away, you might wonder why you waited so long to get it! I love it. I don't know how anyone can say this isn't true. and I don't understand why…

Incorrectly deformed/shaped. nothing is centered. Pencil holes are too narrow

Very disappointed. This thing is so simple that it shouldn't be difficult to get it right, but this manufacturer managed to mess things up. The "leg" with the magnet is not perpendicular to the "base", it is tilted about 5 degrees. This means that the pencil in the "storage" hole goes in the opposite leg below the hole in that leg (which is probably there to protect the tip). So that's bad. To make matters worse, relying on a magnetized leg means that the piece held between the two legs is not…
