Does exactly what it should!

I put a new motherboard and PSU in a 15 year old case that didn't have USB 3.1 ports on the front (was USB 2.0). It had the correct cables and connectors to connect to the USB 3.1 header and audio jack on the front of the motherboard. Everything works great, including the "sense" feature that notifies the computer when headphones and/or a microphone are plugged into the front panel. (By default, Windows 10 disables the rear [speaker] audio output when you plug headphones into the front panel.)…

Exactly what I expected

This review was for a 2-Port E-SDS USB 3.0 Computer Panel with HD Audio purchased from Secure4u through Revain. It is designed to fit into an unused floppy drive slot and features two USB 3.0 ports, a headphone jack and a microphone jack. (I mention these details because the review section seems to have mixed several different products together, making it quite confusing.) The HD audio section of this faceplate was dead on arrival, but the replacement was almost a success.

Another (latest) update: I got a replacement and it supports HD Audio (no headset jack auto-detection - it's part of the HD Audio standard, which allows you to disable the rear audio jack once). They have headphones plugged into the front panel - but I can live with that). I increase my rating to "4" for both the exemplary service quality (in the person of Simon) and the almost full functionality of the front panel.
