Very poor quality compared to Perko.

That's a real crap compared to the Perko that sells at Revain for a few bucks more. The Perko block is beautifully finished, the chrome on these Sea Dog parts is very poor with pitting and subtle blemishes. There is also a "seal" on one side of the item as part of the casting.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • high price

Incredibly bad product

It's almost unbelievable for a packaged product, but it came with nuts whose screw or thread size differs from the shank. Something like an English nut on a metric bolt, or maybe a mismatch between threads and inches. Whoever put the nuts on literally had to put pressure on the rods to make them hold and deform the threads. Any manufacturer making such mistakes should be avoided at all costs. Regarding the plus size, Revain immediately refunded my money as soon as the error was reported.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Don't waste your time with this hinge

Don't waste your time with this hinge. The tension nuts sold in this package were poor quality metal and stripped the threads on the nuts when tightened making it impossible to fully tighten the bow eye to the boat. It was then extremely difficult to completely remove the nut from the boat to carve the nut with a dremel as nothing else would fit in the space which was too tight to use any other removal tool. Then I had to start the clean install again. This is wasted time when I could have used

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Compatibility
