Lid not tight enough to securely hold vent window. But I got it to work with the original (large) cap from the regulator kit, which was replaced. Otherwise I would have had to saw off at least half an inch of the protrusion that goes into the vent.

I am a realist. And I fully understand that you get what you pay for. It was a "good deal". Poor quality, terrible fit and functionality. I work on many boats and would not recommend this one. I don't blame Revane for that. Just mark it as a learning experience.

The quality of this product is simply good. The originals on my trophy boat are much better. This should match my trophy boat, but it doesn't. The mounting bracket holes do not line up and the part that goes through the glass is too small in diameter.

This bleed control is poorly designed. I bought this to replace the Taylor version that was on my boat because the pivot and PAL nut on it were rusty. Sea Dog's description states that the pivot was stainless steel and the PAL nut was improved. Both were true, but the staff was so thin and weak that it broke immediately. And it was really difficult to work with because the shape of the latch mechanism causes the rod to bend when I try to open the window. I'll replace him with another Taylor.

They are a bit difficult to install - as the old ones weren't there to help me. Found it out though - The holes in the window frame didn't match - Decided to drill the flange on the regulator to match the holes in the boat's window frame and it worked perfectly - so when they didn't work - there weren't any extra holes in the window frame. I will upload some photos for you so you can see if this is the part you are looking for as the pictures on the site are not very informative.
