🔳 White Circular Non Slip Inspection Hatch w/Detachable Cover - SEA FLO 4-8 inch Review

I have bought many different brands and sizes, this one (4 inch) is very thick, durable and nicely made, great seals. It has a nice non-slip texture, feels nice, but it works, that's all you can dream of.

Inexpensive. It's almost impossible to twist/unscrew, it flexes a bit. The extra 2 cents it would have cost to preserve it I feel is an unnecessary expense.

Note: Comes without hardware but I knew there was no problem. Beveled #10 machine screws the length needed to get to the other side of the case along with locknuts, washers and sealant complete the job.

Bought a 6" sunroof and a 6" hole saw. I drilled a hole and found the hatch doesn't fit. Nowhere in the description does it say the hole has to be an odd size. I can't get the edge with the jigsaw because there's something underneath. Terrible product description. Oops, I seriously need to improvise. Dissatisfied.

Does the product work as intended? Yes; After a few weeks it appears to be waterproof. However, if you have OCD like me, let me know the screw cover is not aligned with the mounting screws as shown in the picture. No alignment between detachable sunroof and mounting ring. They look messy when installed.

I installed one a month ago and one yesterday with the older one clearly yellowing. I'm curious to see how they will look in a few years. The rest works fine. Removing the covers is difficult but doable. The same hole saw for cans is perfect. It's cheap at any hardware store.

No iron. Surprised by the lack of a seal and gasket. I'm going to mount it in the back of my kayak's well so I can access anything that comes through the back and it's easier to drain any water that gets in. Luckily I have a few screws that should be perfect. I'm not sure what they call "click-in design", it's definitely screw holes that don't click anything lol.

That's a great price for what it is. I used it on my kayak to modify the hull hatch. Let's face it, this isn't a $100 sunroof, so don't expect it to perform like one. It does not come with an o-ring/gasket or hardware. However, sea sealant cannot fix anything. Looks good and I haven't had any issues with hatch warping or cross-threading yet.
