Great for carrying water, super small package

Nicely made and very small package. Just keep in mind that this is only really good for moving water from here to there; It is not intended as a sink. S2S makes other products for this. Great for its purpose!

Backcountry essential

So small and light! When folded, it's probably a little larger than a silver dollar and weighs several times less. The perfect backcountry accessory. Especially if you plan on starting a fire and need a water source nearby to be safe. It's so pure you won't believe it will be potent enough to be worth anything, but it is. It's just so convenient to have. It's worth it.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • not reliable

Exactly as advertised

Mine doesn't leak at all. It weighs almost nothing. heavy-duty bag that holds approximately 2.5 gallons of water. People envy me because they have to return to the muddy side of the creek more often. And that's all I can think about right now. Many Thanks.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Almost never

Was questionable but now sold!

I was hesitant when it arrived as it looked flimsy and inefficient. So my first impulse was to send it back. But I decided to check it out. I filled it 3/4 full and took it. I couldn't believe it wasn't leaking anywhere! And when I put him on the floor, I expected him to trip and spill water, but it didn't! Brilliant! I look solid and strong. And it's so light! I love it!

  • Decent performance

. last summer and it has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of gear

I bought this for a trail hike in Colorado last summer and it has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of gear. It is often difficult to scoop water from a stream with a bottle or even a mug. I just unwrapped this bucket from its tiny packaging and scooped up more than enough filtered water for my needs. This bucket is very small and light. It took a bit of practice before I could pour the water from it into a filter bottle, but catching the water was so easy I didn't mind spilling a little

Expensive but good value

This was a real "expense" for me as I already have platypus bags and a couple of MSR camel bags. I wanted something VERY light that I could easily fill up from a spring or stream and then hang at camp to wash my hands and dishes as needed. The foldable Sea to Summit bucket is great for this purpose and almost disappears in your backpack and also easily fits in its small pocket. I also used it to drink with my mini Sawyer filter with a straw. I left it hanging for 24 hours on a frosty night. Ice

Pros
  • Great overall features
Cons
  • Doubtful

Surprisingly light and packed!

I've been a fan of Sea to Summit gear for several years and last year I added a 20 liter bucket to my standard weekend camping kit. However, on a camping trip in August, I left my bucket hanging from a tree and had to find a replacement. I tried using a standard dry bag as a bucket for a couple of weekends, but then decided on a different "real" bucket. 20L turned out to be more than I needed, so I opted for 10 liters. Instead of. The specs for this "Ultra-Sil" pail indicated that it was the…
