Description of Seachem Purigen Liters Model 168

FILTRATION: Purigen ranges in color from almost white (cream) to light yellow. Seachem Purigen is not a mixture of ion exchangers or adsorbents, but a unique macro-porous synthetic polymer that removes soluble and insoluble impurities from water. SELECTIVITY: Seachem Purigen is an organic filtration resin that works hard to remove nitrogenous compounds and waste produced by fish, corals, and even plants, making your water crystal clear. CAPACITY: Being both spherical and macroreticular, Seachem Purigen has microscopic pores that increase its usable surface area to many times that of a purely spherical resin. REGENERATION: Once Seachem’s Purigen is exhausted, it can be regenerated with a solution of bleach and water. The bleach will literally “burn off” the organics that have been removed from the tank. SAFETY: Some slime coat products may permanently foul Purigen and render regeneration difficult. Do not reuse if odor of bleach/chlorine is detectable. In case of doubt, soak beads in small quantity of water and test for residual chlorine with a chlorine test kit. Age range description: All Stages

Can't live without aquarium pumps and filters

Guests always compliment me on the cleanliness of my pool. Purigen makes the water crystal clear! I use it and throw it away instead of charging it.

I really like this product

I bought this product because it works really well but I noticed it went up to 109.00. I bought it in November 2019, it was 72.13. That's a huge boost at 37.00, it's time to find something else! I want to return it but it's my fault for not doing my homework.

Great material for aquarium pumps and filters

This material works great and seems to last forever if cleaned as recommended. Use in 90 gallons. African Cichlids, 75 gallons. Midas Cichlid, 55 Gallons. Tropical fresh water and 20 gallon cats Betta and Corey. I will buy more but not for long. Note: The original order never arrived. Called C/S, they sent another one and got it the next day. Very happy with Raven!

Open Sealed Container, What's up?!?

The security seal has been broken! How do we know if it's new or fake? Of course we have a net weight, but it's still a plus or minus. The decline in online shopping, I suppose. Workers are fed up with orders overflowing, products not being served well, or stocked honestly. At least the products in the store I can check and make sure before buying.

Terrible packaging.

This product works as intended. However, the container has a terrible lid design that unscrews during transit. The first order was damaged in transit and could not be delivered. I had to replace, and all the little balls in the box crumbled. It was a nightmare to use the hopper + shovel and put the balls back in the container, maybe 5% of the balls got lost on the floor or got stuck between the sheets of cardboard. Highly recommend Revain or the manufacturer to glue the lid onto the container…

This stuff does the job better than anything I've been able to find on the market

That's all you need I've had nitrate issues I couldn't lower it They used about 5 witch oranges in my test kit. should be yellow. I used Rox Carbon 0.08 which is about $50 a gallon in BRS & Phosguard, my phosphate levels were between 0.05 and 0.1 with a Hanna controller. Then I started using Purigen and my nitrates showed 0. Every time I checked them my phosphate also showed 0 on the Hanna checker, witch shows really low phosphate. My next step is to remove Phosguard and then check every few…
