I was impressed at first nice heavy unit with shiny stainless steel body. The first disappointment was the noise level - I almost didn't hear my 150 Mercs on it. The biggest disappointment was that it literally fell apart on the 7th or 8th use during a downpour. Two of the three screws holding the wave plate to the body fell out. However, Revain were very quick to respond and fully refunded the money on return - 5 stars for them.

I received this wiper system in just a few days and it came complete with the wiper arm and blade. After I installed and connected everything, the motor ran fine but the blade didn't move. Long story short, I found that the screw clamp that secures the lever to the motor shaft was not tight enough. So I just took the clip off my old arm and used it again and everything works fine now. It took me a while to get started. That works fine. Suggestion: You must have some electrical know-how to install. When the old boat without self-parking detects this unit walk the way for self-parking. So if you remove power, you will need to rewire the system and add a second ground. Got this for the VW Thing. With its mounting on the bottom of the windshield when the wiper is parked on the left and not turned to the right and horizontal. I swapped the cables in the motor. The motor rotates in the opposite direction but continues to park in the same direction. The gearbox has not yet been checked to see if anything needs to be changed. This wiper motor looks like other brands generic wipers but is a more powerful version inside and out. It's more reliable and has more power. The spring loaded arm keeps the wiper on the glass better which is a major disadvantage I have with other fake brands. Some customers have complained that you cannot tighten the bolt enough for the lever to grip the driveshaft. On mine I noticed that the pressure block was installed upside down in the lever.
