I didn't use it as intended. I needed an inspection hatch (to check the water level) on a poly water tank. I just made a template from the box he supplied. Note: The corners have a 2.5 inch radius. Cut a hole and ta-da. Now I can inspect my tank. One star deducted for missing stainless steel screws.

I have used this hatch on my kayak and have been very happy with the result. I had to add a base plate for extra support to keep the hatch from flexing with the kayak's contoured surface. I haven't tested if it's waterproof, but it's definitely waterproof. I would recommend it to everyone.
