Buoyancy not yet proven

Instructions for connecting this switch were unclear. Luckily the bilge pump wiring direction I set with this switch was clear. The product was received on time. I hope to get the boat back on the water before the cold weather sets in to test performance. Dry test worked.

Very good bilge pump switch

Very good bilge pump switch. Can be set to automatic or momentary for manual pumping. happy with looks and performance. The hardest part when installing is cutting a hole in the boat console

quality switch. Some may get confused by the wiring.

The switch works great and is of good quality. Some people may have trouble with the jumper that comes with the kit as it is not connected to the switch and needs to be installed to complete the job. Trial and error with the jumper location will work, but the instructions could be a bit clearer, 4 stars for that. Fast shipping from seller, highly recommended.

NOT waterproof or liquid resistant.

This switch should only be installed where it will not be exposed to liquid. It is absolutely NOT waterproof (although it can be waterproof on its own) and is not even afraid of water or splashes. If it is installed in a dry bridge or cabin, everything is fine, it seems a good product. Even in a dry location, spilled liquid (coffee or beer) will seep into the rocker switch area and into the housing or panel on which it is mounted.

Insufficient circuit protection for high-performance pumps

Contrary to the description, this device is NOT suitable for controlling ANY pump in combination with a float switch. My 3700 GPH bilge pump requires 20 amp circuit protection. I bought this unit in part because the description guarantees compatibility with ANY pump/float switch AND has a "fuse". In fact there is no fuse, but there is a 15A push button switch. This is actually very bad since the switch is rated for 20 amps. Now I have to go to the trouble of returning the (2) protected switch…
