I'm disappointed with my purchase, products are no good.

On the day of the order, reported that the order was cancelled. As compensation, they issued a promotional code for 500, a refund within 10 days. The product is in short supply and now costs 10,000 more, despite the fact that it is almost impossible to buy it in the 2022. Excellent compensation from . Keep it up. I don't recommend anyone to order from here.

Pros
  • I am not familiar with the disk due to the responsibility of and their partners.

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

I've been using 4 of these to store and backup my photo library and everything else for over two years now. I connect everything to the laptop through one hub. Looks safe and cheap. Before that, I used DASs for some time, though they were cheap, they were terribly buggy, and with these disks I finally breathed a sigh of relief, since they just work. As a USB hub I do not use it, I can not say anything about it.

Pros
  • I have 4 of these working at the same time without any complaints. The speed is certainly not SSD, but sufficient, about 160 Mb / s comes out. Noise / vibrations and overheating do not notice.
Cons
  • if you connect a lot of such disks at once, then Bluetooth mice (such as Magic Mouse) stop working due to interference from cables.

Great value for money, one of the best offers.

They took for a family offline data storage for 6999. The best value for money on the market. I've been using Seagate since 2022. I recommend it for not too pretentious storage of an array of data as a file cleaner. And, yes, the hub for 2 usb 3.0 is a thing, I checked it out when throwing off information from other hard drives, a very useful stray, especially relevant for laptops (the number of slots is limited).

Pros
  • Price, speed
Cons
  • Not

One of the best offers, glad I bought it.

After reading reviews on other Seagates, I expected to hear the knock of heads and other noise during operation. However, I was pleasantly surprised - the disc is almost inaudible at all. Put to copy the data on it for the night - and it did not interfere. You have to listen in complete silence to hear something. To turn off the bright indicator (it interferes at night), you need to download it from the Seagate Dashboard website and turn it off in the settings there. Then you can delete it…

Pros
  • + Sufficiently large capacity. + Reasonable price + Easy to connect + Very quiet + Included with the power supply are interchangeable plugs for all possible types of sockets (4 pieces) + 2-month Adobe license included (I didn't need it, I already have it)
Cons
  • Obsolete USB 3.0 interface with Micro-USB cable - The software is not included, you need to search on the Seagate website and download it yourself. However, it is not required. - There is no power switch on the case, you have to unplug it. - Bright blinking indicator of work.

Full compliance with the manufacturer's assurances, high quality.

I configured the device as standard I tried to partition the disk with the "Arctronics Disk" utility (As it turned out later, it was also an outdated version) My software version only understood MRT disk types. I tried to format. The size has been reduced to 2 GB. I did not like it. I downloaded the official driver from the Seagate website and installed it. As a result: 1. Winda was covered 2. Bios was covered. I restored the bios from a backup. Changed Windows. I installed the driver from the…

Pros
  • Speed Noiselessness Not heated Lots of space
Cons
  • This device has no drawbacks. There are customization options. I'll write in the comments.

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

Immediately after the purchase, I simply connected the disk to the home server, launched the monitoring program (sintenel hard disk) and, using the script, started copying the server contents to it. By the will of fate, I was distracted for several hours, and when I opened the monitoring window, the temperature of the disk was 59 degrees and the copy speed dropped significantly, by this time 2.5 TB had managed to be copied. I copied robocopy, it does not write real speeds, it just counts…

Pros
  • It works quite quietly, it does not knock with its heads, there is no vibration, only at the start it howls loudly enough, spinning the plates. The speed characteristics are quite consistent with the speed and purpose of the hard drive - archive storage. Includes power supply, USB 3.0 cable, booklet, and the disk itself.
Cons
  • overheated

The product is no good, I won't buy it again.

I've been planning to increase the capacity of my 4-disk Synology NAS for a long time. In the Amazon store, I chose an external hard drive SEAGATE Backup Plus Hub STEL8000200 for 8 TB, at the time of purchase on March 23, 2022, it cost 14,990, while a separate drive SEAGATE Barracuda ST8000DM004 for 8 TB cost 17,390. for a share (18,590 without it). I chose a cheaper option in order to remove the disk from the case later (I was aware of the risk of losing the warranty and in this way I bought…

Pros
  • I haven't been able to use them.
Cons
  • The drive inside was replaced before selling to me.

Not a bad product, but you can find a better one.

Took under backups When copying large volumes (from 200 GB), it heats up to 50+ degrees. There are holes in the body only on one side (like the bottom). Completely not thought out. I registered the disk on offsite, which is interesting: If you write the serial number on the case (at the bottom), then the warranty is 2 years as promised If you write the serial number of the HDD itself (visible in any utility), then the disk is no longer under warranty How it should be understood is not known

Pros
  • Price/volume Appearance
Cons
  • Guarantee Reliability

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The purchase did not bring joy, the product is bad.

Approximately the same volume (the same files from the same computer, only without large video files plus 200GB to 1TB, in fact, because of this, a new storage was bought) was copied to a USB portable Seagate 1TB disk 2.5 inch hours in 5. And then a day gone and no end in sight. If I knew that this hard is so slow, I would have looked at another one. Its 8.5 such a G is definitely not worth it. When 3.5 screw is several times slower than 2.5 - this is an extravaganza !

Pros
  • appearance+-
Cons
  • post recording speed as on USB 1.0. In the total commander, 1.2 TB has been copying for the second day and only 72% have been copied. The files there are different in size up to 2.4GB. Glossy case, which will soon turn from a brilliant piano into a gopnitsky car in "vinyl".

The product is unreliable, it is not worth buying.

It is heated specifically . "Working" temperature 46-48. The maximum fixed SMART is 51. What is very good. bad. I'll think about how to screw the fan or disassemble it (judging by the Internet, analysis = loss of warranty, because there are very flimsy latches in the case). ate1: 1/2 year - Smart shows max 58°C ! , but there are no bads yet . ate2: 1 year - I connected Carlson 120 to the USB connector . lies on 2 external ones, cools both.

Pros
  • Relative cheapness.
Cons
  • - Noise. - Heating.

It's impossible to use it, don't waste your money.

Discs of this model were purchased in two different regions. Discs were received in boxes with undamaged stickers. On the spot no inspection was carried out, as the box was not opened. It was possible to write a small amount of information to the disk, after which the operation ended with an error. After reconnecting the drive, it requested a format, which also fails. When viewed through the Seagate DriveDetect software, the serial number does not match the serial number on the chassis.…

Pros
  • There are no complaints about the original discs, they have been working properly for several months.
Cons
  • Recently, fake disks of this model have been sold in large retail chains. There are counterfeit discs in an unopened box with a sticker. Check the discs immediately after purchase, in the store. 1) Download the Seagate DriveDetect program and check the drive number on the chassis with the drive number displayed in the program. 2) Use some program, for example, HDDScan, to check which hard drive is installed in the box. I got 80GB and 500GB instead of 8 Terabytes.

The best product, from those that I have viewed, I advise everyone!

Took for storage of material from filming. I thought for the editing itself I would pull out materials on internal hard drives, but I didn’t have to do this - the speed is quite enough for editing material with a bitrate of 20-40 Mbps, I haven’t tried it yet. On the forty, I periodically came across the fact that the material did not have time to be loaded, but the delays are not critical. But in disks, of course, the main thing is reliability over time. I will watch

  • The most inexpensive 5 terabyte Quiet Quick

Large capacity and high speed

I am very happy with the speed and capacity of this hard drive. I used to buy 3 and 4 TB and ran out of space, but with these 8 TB I have plenty of storage. I would buy another one too.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Low maintenance

Dump only the careless driver!

I love Seagate HDD, I arrived when I checked but the driver threw the box on the floor🤭! I was at the door! I was shocked😨! Didn't he see me? Why so carefree? I'm lucky it works! I know they have no idea what's inside, but he could have put it on the floor.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Secret

Doesn't meet my needs - doesn't see network drives

I bought this to replace an old Seagate that was running the Seagate 'Dashboard' software. With the old version you could back up a network drive. This is new software that doesn't recognize the network drive, which was the only reason I bought it. It's mostly useless to me, but seems ok if you just want to back up your desktop or laptop.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Expensive

Very fast transmission with 3.0 USB. gigabytes in seconds!

Easy install with quick guide. I made some "settings" while superuser with a home network of 6 machines. Lots of backups, lots of PCs with 2TB drives, SSDs and HDDs. Split the 8TB hub into 5TB and 3TB partitions. I use the 5TB to back up my portable Seagate Plus 4TB. Backup for system backups, C: / Windows, timely update depending on updates and additions as needed. The 3TB partition is used to back up data on the 2 main machines on the other partitions. It's been a few weeks, it may change the

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
