🚣 Seamander Kayak Seat Canoe Seat: Ultimate Comfort & Detachable Back Storage Bag Review

We ordered 3 of these for our new kayaks, 2 out of 3 are perfect. The stitching came out on the strap on the 3rd. However, they immediately offered to replace it, so I'll update the review if this replaced seat works as well as the other two. We really liked it, especially for the price.

Works great so far, comfortable, easy to install and remove, looks good. Cons: The back gets a little warm in hot weather, the straps are not adjustable. I tied the ends of the straps and ignored the heat. The only real problem is that I have to add some velcro to keep the seat cushion in place. This is used on a seated top fishing kayak.

After looking at a few that look exactly the same for under $78. I opted for the cheaper option. I'm pretty sure they're the same as the more expensive ones. The seat is not soft but supports the back well. I'm an avid kayaker with a very bad back. I am satisfied with this product, especially at this price.

Much more comfortable than my old seat. Fits well and matches the seat pan in the kayak. I recently rowed it hard for 3 miles and found the extra back support to be helpful. I'm still winning my position. My straps have slipped a few times. Once I've fixed my position, I can take steps to keep the straps from slipping.

With all the straps attached to this seat you'd think it would fit in any kayak. No, that is not so. I managed to attach it to mine, but even with four straps on the back it offers very little stiffness and very little back support. In fact, the bottom 1/3 actually folds up when you lean on it. You can literally slide a rolled up towel into the gap. I would not order this again.

Nice seat but for a sit down kayak like mine with a molded seat and back the straps made no sense and everything was easy to remove. The new seat fits the old one perfectly and doesn't need straps to hold it in place. Once you sit on the seat, it stays perfectly in place. I suppose straps can be useful for seat kayaks, but not for seat kayaks in my opinion. Good product and easy to shape to fit your existing seat.

I wasn't sure at first. I've bought several similar seats and had to return them because they didn't fit, were uncomfortable, or were just plain cheap quality. It took a little more effort to install the anchor points on my canoe but it was worth it. That. Super comfortable, supportive and full range of motion. So comfortable I feel like I can lay back and take a nap! Compact and easily detachable for transport or fixed on the water. Also excellent value for money, some similar places cost…
