I thought I got the best. I do not think so?!

I was so excited to include the Seasonic Prime Tx-1000 in my new build! I thought. Outstanding technique. Reviews. 12 year guarantee. Headroom if I later decide to go full liquid cooling. And it's seasonal! This excitement lasted 2 weeks. I put my build together 2 weeks ago, powered it up, posted it and I never thought I'd have to replace the PSU until at least 2030. I played the new Assasins Creed game and life was good. and "phew" the whole computer shuts down. I have over 15 years of…

Great item for internal power supplies

Silence is golden, said one wise. Well, in this case it's Titanium, as is the efficiency rating of this PSU. Quiet is exactly what it is, and not just because it's fanless. No coil squeak, no hiss. I bought it back just to make sure it never gets stressed as I have the 3600x and 5700xt and while it was a bit more expensive than the 600 watt model I have no regrets. It's very well made, you get quite a few cables and as a big bonus over the power supply it replaced it comes with an 8 pin cable…

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Premium power supply

As expected, Seasonic offers a premium power supply. There are simply no matches. Corsair's plastic waste has nothing to do with it. Pros: - Tons of power, enough for any GPU. - Premium construction. BP looks good. Really good. You can tell that it is a high-quality material. I've never heard the fan turn on. Contains all necessary power supply cables. And they're good, flat cables. Much better than any sleeved cables or others. The GPU cables they include on the newer models are single 8 pin…

  • Great design

Great PSU with a few caveats

Because this PSU doesn't have a fan, it's completely silent. I was concerned that the fanless PSU would make the inside of the case hotter, but after installation the GPU/CPU temp dropped a few degrees. Apparently, even without a fan, this PSU generates less heat than the Cooler Master PSU that came with my Omen 30L. If you buy this power supply because you want to reduce cable clutter in your case, you will be disappointed. Anyway, after replacing the non-modular Cooler Master power supply…

I wish I had bought it sooner

I have to admit, power supplies aren't meant to be sexy. You should be sitting there, unobtrusively powering all the components of your computer, no questions asked. You shouldn't notice them. When they stop, it's time to buy a new one, right? When my computer started randomly shutting down with a 12 year old power supply, I decided it was time to upgrade it (it took a few rebuilds). I didn't know fanless PSUs existed until I started browsing PSU reviews (who in their right mind researches…

Pros
  • I look forward to
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Not the legendary Seasonic PSU I was expecting

I feel compelled to write a review on the Seasonic Prime 850W Platinum PSU. Short story, I have the following power supplies. They all work great and are still in use today. All of them are in boxes that work 24/7 365 with interruptions only for maintenance. These are all power supplies that are 10 or about 10 years old. No problem. Seasonic M12II 620W Bronze (2011) Corsair 650HX (2010) Super Flower 550 (?) Unfortunately the Seasonic M12II caused some lights on my new system during boot up. So…
