No more rattle! - my new review

The receiver extension that I put in my front hitch was very loose and rattling a lot. This anti-rattle clip was the perfect solution; no more rattle or moving! Not very useful for items that will be frequently removed, as this is designed to be a semi- permanent solution.

Pros
  • Worked as expected.
Cons
  • The product's high price does not justify its limited use

A must have in my review

These are great! Always seems like tow hitches are to loose and rattle. No more metal clingy with these . Absolutely love them

Pros
  • I like the way it holds everything in place. No rattle. easy to use
Cons
  • The design looks outdated and unappealing

Does the job! best in my review

Product came on time and undamaged which is always good. This product is a necessity not a luxury. Especially if you're hauling a motorcycle on a motorcycle rack. It prevents a lot of wobbling and looseness in the assembly which will only get worse in time. This product is worth its weight in gold. It does an excellent job!

Pros
  • great little gadget.works well to stop any play between the receiver and hitch
Cons
  • Users who may have physical limitations might face difficulty dealing with the clamp mechanism

works good but holes are to narrow

I had to squeeze the U bolt together in a vise to get it to fit through the plate holes. I supposed I could have drilled the hole bigger but the plate is anodized. Works great if you have a vise to squeeze the u bolt or don't mind drilling the hole bigger. It should have come with slotted hole to accommodate variances in different batches of u bolts.

Pros
  • Well made and easy to install.
Cons
  • There is no warranty offered for the product

Solid - pun intended

These were great. I bought a dual hitch extender to haul a trailer and hold a bike rack. These were awesome to hold the hitch tight and snug. The lower hitch spot was too close to the upper spot so when my trailer slid in to get on the ball the top lock pin hit the bike rack and locked down before the hitch lowered onto the ball. The quick fix was to take the top tow hitch tightener off - pull the hitch - put the ball into the receiver then roll it forward back into the the 2" hitch receiver…

Pros
  • Instantly fix that wobble
Cons
  • The product does not offer noise reduction to vibrations over 45 mph

Easy to install to keep receiver from bouncing around.

Easy to install and seems like good quality. Before installing the receiver hitch would move around about 1/16 of an inch, now it is rock solid. Good safety investment.

Pros
  • Takes out alot of noise you get from an empty trailer really helps taking the slack out of the receiver
Cons
  • Over time, the pressure from the clamp might distort the hitch

No more noise good for me

Purchased to stabilize our hutch to pull our boat. Works great and no more rattling noice from the hitch. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Wish I had purchased these years ago. Works Well.
Cons
  • The clamp's heavy-duty nature makes it challenging to move or adjust

Good product that I would certainly recommend to others looking for anti rattle devices. Just wish it had a tighter fit to counter horizontal sway more. I use it to stabilize a 4 bike carrier and a bumper step on a dual hit mount.

Pros
  • Very well made stops all movements to hitch, I would buy again also highly recommend to anyone.
Cons
  • The TOPTOW 64705 Anti-Rattle Clamp vibrates instead of stopping the rattle fully

lip is too shallow on my review.

the rise difference between my hitch and 1.5 to2 inch adapter is bigger than the lip of the brace, so it does not contact the shaft and create a brace. i had to install it upside down and backwards at an angle to get it to contact both shafts. that is how they say not to do it as the bolts go thru at an angle this way. however, it seems to be working ok so far. on the hitches that don't have this depth issue (2in to 2in) they work great.

Pros
  • good as
Cons
  • TOPTOW 64705 Anti-Rattle Clamp is not compatible with all trailer hitch sizes, limiting its use

Works well for intended purpose

I used this to stabilize a storage platform on the back of my van. It was rattling bad before I put this on and its rock solid now. Been on for about three months now and never needed adjustment.

Pros
  • This device really words to quite draw bar noise when towing my boat.
Cons
  • The clamp is too tight and challenging to loosen, causing frustration for users

Heavy Duty Hardware

Very well built and thick, however just a bit too wide to fit between my receiver and some of the plastic on the bottom of my bumper, not a huge deal though since that's what Dremels are made for.

Pros
  • Used one on the SxS and the other on the truck. Hardware appears to be good quality.
Cons
  • El metal es de mala calidad y de apretarlo se desforma !

Simple solution to eliminate wobble on your hitch.

Seems sturdy and definitely eliminated the wobble I had on my hitch for my added platform. Simple 3/4 nuts to tighten and then good to go.

Pros
  • It was what I expected and works great
Cons
  • It has sharp edges and could pose a safety hazard to users

Worked on both 1.25 and 2 in recievers

These clamps removed all loosness on my car carrier. I use both on my 1.25" to 2" reciever adapter. No flex or bending when tightened to 30 ft lb.

Pros
  • Very easy to install. Keeps an unloaded trailer with little tongue weight from rattling your brain.
Cons
  • Users might have difficulty finding replacement parts for the product

Worked great. best in my review

These work great to tighten the connection at the hitch when using my cargo carrier and with the wheelchair rack on my moms van. Eliminate the annoying rattle and vibration almost completely. Do recommend taking a wrench along to retighten along the way if roads are rough.

Pros
  • They work well. Takes the loose play right outta there.
Cons
  • The product's instructions are vague and difficult to understand

Hitch rattle eliminated

This is a nice quality product. Definitely worth the price. Is eliminated the rattle in my trailer hitch. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Easy to install. Good quality aluminum.
Cons
  • It could cause a squeaky noise if users tighten the clamp too much

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's okay! good for me

These work fine but you need to tighten up each side a little at a time or the U-bolts won't come off easy when removing them. I finally got them off, but the U-bolts won't go back on without a lot of force now. Lesson learned, be patient when installing them!

Pros
  • Good product has made a noticeable difference in noise and hitch movement.
Cons
  • The clamp may cause resistance or drag when users start towing

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If you can turn a wrench these work as advertised.

The hitch tightener appears to be good quality. The blue powder coat seems to be good quality and the color is even. Bolts are sturdy. The install was easy enough as it only fit on one side of the 2” receiver. If I were installing on an 1-1/4” there’s nothing telling which direction the angled plate should face. It’s a 50/50 chance so if you get it wrong, flip it around and you’re good to go. It’s the only complaint I have though.

Pros
  • Very straightforward. Good value. Does what it is supposed to.
Cons
  • It's much more expensive than other anti-rattle clamps available in the market

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great purchase best in my review

These hitch tighteners really did the trick. I have used the same 2" hitch bike carrier for 20 years and never thought about the movement due to the loose fit. I purchased a 2nd carrier to get six bikes on our Suburban for our spring break trip. Someone recommended this product so I bought them and used them on both my old and new carrier. They worked great by cinching down the carrier to the hitch so there's no movement. I highly recommend this product!

Pros
  • Easily installed but I haven’t used it yet
Cons
  • The clamp's weight could affect the towing capacity of the trailer

Great buy and worked great!

This worked just as expected. I honestly like the blue powder coat on it! It adds a nice touch of color where there would normally be nothing!

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • The clamp may loosen up over time, requiring re-tightening

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They do the job. Great buy.

For the price, I was afraid that the stabilizers were going to be cheap and flimsy. Boy, was I wrong! They are heavy duty and very sturdy. I mounted them on a spare tire carrier that fits in the 2 inch receiver on my UTV. Without the stabilizers the carrier rattles and wobbles all over the place. With them, it is solid as a rock.

Pros
  • Did what I need it to do, cut down on the noise.
Cons
  • Users might find it challenging to maneuver bulky and heavy anti-rattle clamps
