Great product, USB3.0, easy to use!

This was exactly what I was looking for, a device that can move multiple USB devices between two different computers. The kit includes a USB KVM switch and 2 USB cables to connect to two different devices. At the back of the KVM switch, connect the two included USB cables, one to each of your computers (or other devices), then at the front of the KVM switch, you can connect up to 4 USB devices that you want to share . There is a button at the top that you press to move all 4 USB devices either…

Ok but watch out for high currents

This product is pretty much what I need to set up my home office to add a desktop rack and laptop port replicator to the same input device to connect - output. It works as expected with an extra 5V (supported but not included) for a stable power supply regardless of a computer's power state. However, I have Razer I/O devices with custom lighting. I set the lighting to go up and down because I like the look of the effect and because I don't need the backlight constantly when I'm using it. I…

    Decent KVM priced at

I was looking for a KVM for those times when my laptop is plugged into the same station as my desktop. I tried a software solution that works over the network, but I didn't like it. Sometimes the program connects my two devices (with keyboard and mouse) when I'm in another room. So I chose this as a solution to share my Logitech G910 (RGB mechanical keyboard) between my desktop and laptop. I am very happy. I've heard others complain about the "whistle" but I can't hear mine. The coils seem…

    Efficient and economical

This really is the best thing since sliced bread. Initially, I thought I needed a monitor-capable switch, but through experimentation, I found that these devices have more disadvantages than advantages. One of the worst is that they all gave out that annoying beeping sound. It's way better than any KVM switch with monitor support as you can actually switch between keyboard and mouse easily. The solution for the monitor was pretty simple, I connected my laptop with one type of cable and used a…

Doesn't work (well) with some USB chipsets.

These USB switches seem to have problems, at least with Intel USB chipsets. I have two PCs where I had the same issue with two different USB switches - an old IOGear USB 2.0 switch and this new one. One PC is Alienware's top gaming laptop with an Intel USB controller. The second is an AMD based full tower gaming rig with an AMD chipset. The AMD system has no problems with this at all, while Intel only has problems. On a laptop, both the new and old Switch would randomly lose their keyboard…

    Magic Button: External Components

Bought for my wife who needs to switch between two laptops and really just wanted an old style KVM with a physical switch or button. It tested all of these fields and it performed like a champ. She hooked up a USB -> HDMI splitter and two laptops are now happily using her dual monitor setup. My only criticism of the design is that the cables are on opposite sides of the box, meaning you can never put them there. The wires don't stick out. I would prefer to have them all on the back so the…

    Ok but with some caveats

I bought this to switch keyboard and mouse between laptop and home desktop (both windows 10). My keyboard is a Logitech G810 with RGB and my mouse is a Logitech G502 (no RGB). I initially had problems when plugging it into the USB 3.0 ports on my desktop and laptop, along with an additional power adapter. It had trouble identifying the keyboard on my desktop when trying to swap it out, a 10 second delay plus an error when trying to identify the hub, which shouldn't be a problem at all if it's…
