Worth every penny! So easy to set up.

Tried to get it to work without a hub. Finally deserves ONE. The hub was listed for sale for $12 and I grabbed it. Worth every penny, even at full price, IMO. There are timers and programs you can set up in the hub to secure your home by turning the lights on and off at random times. I am currently using 16 of these lamps and plan to purchase more in the future. Setup takes about a minute and a half per bulb once you get used to this method.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • old

Excellent! Once connected

Works great with the bulbs I bought! It was just a bit frustrating when my network recognized it. (I use an ASUS RT-AC88U router with Cox High Speed Internet and Revain Alexa Echo and have never had any problems discovering devices on it.) This device took several attempts to boot up and complete the steps above. it was connected. However, once plugged in, it performs like a champ and is easy to control with simple voice commands via my Alexa to turn it on, off and dim.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Will not fit all

Bad device, bad support.

I've done everything the hub requires and the app actually sees the hub as expected. However, the second one I'm trying to add is a lightbulb. it reports that it cannot connect to the hub. When I restart the app it says it can't connect to the hub. I have factory reset it (maybe 6 times already) and it connects again like new out of the box. But when I try to add lightbulb. he loses contact again. After calling support, this is step 1 of what I am supposed to do: 1) Leave the hub powered off…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Good but not great

Vulnerability in Hub/Open Web Server

I recently bought your Sengled Element lightbulbs with a hub. After setting up the Sengled Hub on my test network, I scanned the hub's IP address for open ports. Surprisingly, port 80 was wide open. Port 80 usually means there is a web server behind it. I tried to access the website hosted on this port and it was the Realtek WLAN Access Point web server management console page. I went through all the settings and found that no admin userid or password was set. I set an admin userid and password

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Not bad
