multimagnetic problem.

As others have pointed out, they are made up of many individual magnets instead of one long magnet. This is a serious disadvantage when hanging round tools such as screwdrivers, center punches, chisels, etc. They actually move along the pole and cannot be arranged in an orderly fashion. If they were made with a large magnet I would give them 5 stars and buy more as I have 4 different tool areas to work with. Unfortunately. I really liked the different colors. Red for SAE, blue for metric and…

Not for round hand tools like screwdrivers.

Magnets work fairly well with flat tools. But not for screwdrivers. This is not a real magnet stick, but a collection of many magnets strung together. This causes polarity problems when trying to put a screwdriver on the rod. Screwdrivers tend to roll, making it difficult to distribute tools evenly. In fact, unless you are suffering from OCD, there is nothing to worry about. The only reason I took 2 stars off this review is because a very cheap product from Harbor Freight Tools does the same…

Fits some tools

These tool strips work well, but I'm ambivalent about this product for the following reasons: Pros: Relatively cheap magnets hold certain tools well, like bike cone wrenches and smaller adjustable wrenches. Holds 1/4" ratchets but won't hold 3/8" ratchets due to their weight - easy to install - I've used zip ties on a bike tool cart for my purposes. / or fall off - the tags won't come loose - they won't stick on from the back Metal. I was hoping to just hang them on my steel bike tool cart, but

Which part of this magnet holder is 12 inch?

Outer edge to outer edge 13-3/4". Inside surface of magnetic stripe holder is 10-3/4". Real magnets measuring 9-7/8" end to end. I purchased this item (four magnetic stripe tool holders included) to fit a long, thin, perforated board. Mounting holes do not match the pad. The two extreme holes fit on a perforated plate, but they are angled. They don't claim to fit on a perforated plate, so I'm wrong if I assumed! up to hold them together so I'm asking which part of this item is 12". Wouldn't…

Flexibility is good for home storage and organization

These hanging magnets are the most flexible wall storage system I've found, namely because they fit, making it easy to add extra tools or completely replace chisels with screwdrivers, for example. In addition, the installation is done with two screws - you can hardly complain about that. For the first time in years, my entire collection of allen wrenches is organized for easy access. For screwdrivers, you'll probably need to use two parallel bars, as the round shank of a screwdriver doesn't…

Cons

Not as strong and difficult to remove sticker

Fits most of my small tools but some, like the yellow screwdriver pictured, have the handles above the bar rather than under it (tip pointing down) as they slide down and almost fall out. Things with more surface area, like a metal ruler, will stay fine. Even with the included drywall anchor (white plastic), the screw isn't tight. While it's wall-mounted, it's something worth mentioning. It may be better to buy your own drywall anchor. The red sticker covering the entire magnet bar is almost…
