I am disappointed with these rulers. I expected the highest quality from Mitutoyo, but this is totally unacceptable. Not sure if these are fakes or just poor quality control of US made Mitutoyo products. See attached photos. The first one I received was missing the first millimeter. Revain sent me a replacement a few days later and a second one came with the same problem. Not only is the first millimeter missing, the end doesn't match the ruler either. Very strange for a precision product…

Pros
  • Use a pocket clip as a depth gauge

  • Exorbitant price

Use Mitutoyo on the go

Ever wondered what that shirt pocket is for? You know, that bag that's always empty or sometimes has a pen in it, yeah, that one. This is for that ruler, join that pen, grab a ruler. Pros
  • Pocket clip included
Cons
  • Unreliable

It's easy to read, but kind of crumpled.

I bought this because of the Mitutoyo name and was expecting a little more than the usual pocket scale. The rule has a matte finish, finely etched with thick lines and numbers, gives no reflections in direct light. As another reviewer mentioned, there is no 1/4 inch mark. The metal is slightly springy, lightweight and some reviewers called it "thin". A kid could turn this thing into a pretzel, and I have no doubt that in a work environment you need to straighten it all the time. The ruler is…

Pros
  • One end is rounded for safety
Cons
  • No performance
