I bought this for my mother who can't hear her TV well. This turned out to be a great advantage. The speaker is small and portable, has a long battery life, and the base easily connects to your TV with an optical cable and quickly connects to the speaker. There is no discernible lag between the TV and the speaker. This speaker works very well, I can only recommend it.

I bought one for my husband and one for my father. They both have hearing problems and always turn on the TV too loud, so I bought them to put next to her chair. Makes a world of difference. I will say that I bought it a few years ago and it was amazing but my last purchase seemed different. Not so high quality sound, but still good.

This device helped my 85 year old mother enjoy movies and TV again. Despite hearing aids, she is very hard of hearing. This would be great for TV, but it's not synchronized with the picture. It's not synced enough to be annoying.
