Be warned: this allows you to sit MUCH higher than your old seat. A few inches doesn't sound like much (insert a juvenile joke here), but it definitely changes your comfort level the bike if the seat is too high. I have a larger frame cruiser (Electra) and even though I'm short (5ft 10") I had to lower the strut down as much as possible and it's still a few inches higher. this seat was better than the original seat but still not good enough. Nice padding but so bloated you have to keep adjusting it to find an angle you don't think you're slipping off. The saddle nose is also somewhat problematic. It's like it's facing up compared to the rest of the seat. If you adjust the nose, you lose focus on where you sit on the padding. This seat is without a doubt the most comfortable bike seat. I just started riding again. I'm a big guy and I ride 9 miles each way to work every day hoping to become a smaller guy and eventually a smaller guy. The saddle that came with my bike felt like someone dumped hot coals on my pants half a mile away. I had to get out and walk 5km. With this saddle, all the way to and from work is no problem.
