Sufficiently strong puncture-proof tire at a lower price than others.

300 mile front wheel. Nothing important to report. Wear and tear isn't an issue here, so I can't give a good rating. I don't have any holes, but I don't have any visible cuts either. Side stripe colors do not remain consistent, creating the illusion of a non-true wheel when spinning. It's not a big problem for me, but it does seem to affect OCD types. When I have punctures, these are usually catastrophic sores, so it doesn't work regardless of the brand, so I prefer to use them as a cheaper…

Better than other reviews suggest, but difficult to install.

Some other reviews describe them as causing a lot of punctures and I think this is due to how difficult they are to put on without pinching the tube. It's quite difficult to put the tube on the wheel without folding it. I had a pinch on my first trip with them. Nothing damaged a tire. My deflation was caused by incorrect tire setting. The only thing that helped was inflating the tube very slightly and using the bike lever to slide it into the tire and over the wheel. Even then, it's very…

Only 100psi for a size 26 " :( pretty good otherwise

The description says 120psi (why I chose this tire) I assume it refers to size 700 tires Also, I believe it's actually a 1.5" wide tire, not a 1.25". It looks the same as other 1.5" wide tires and I expect it to be somewhere in between that size and my tire. 1.0 I'd say acceleration on this quick knock is 5-10 minutes off my 11 mile leisurely cruise ride It handles gravel well on the front wheel, but if I rode gravel a lot I would probably prefer a fatter tire for the rear so you don't dig ruts

Good tires 27 x 1.25 Serfas Seca with wire bead.

I liked the value for money of other Serfas products (tire pump, multiple tires, seats) and the quality of these tires looks pretty good. Fitted with black 27x1.25 tires on 1980 Trek 27"x1" Rigida wheels. Assembly Tip: Start with the valve stem so that the rim is slightly level between your thighs and the edge of the workbench. (You may be able to hook the hub onto the edge of the workbench instead of pressing the opposite end of the rim against the workbench.) The tube should be slightly…

I don't have a long history with them. . .

. . . but so far so good. I bought 3 of these in 27 x 1-1/4" to replace the IRC HP90 rubbers (which I've been using for years) on two of my old 10 speed bikes. My purchase was based on my age. for good Service of other 26" Serfas puncture-resistant tires on my mountain bike. I mounted all three tires in March 2013, that is, and will report when I have driven a few kilometers. I've been meaning to buy Continental Ultra GatorSkins but they are a lot cheaper and I hope they serve me just as well…

Great for everyday use

I received a pair of these tires to replace the lousy pair that came with my wife's road bike and I was pleasantly surprised at how durable and beautiful they look . Some highlights: I got the "white" version, which essentially means black tires with two thin white stripes and white descriptive branding. Of course, the white color gets dirty when driving, but you will definitely like the look. The tires are rated to a maximum pressure of 125 psi, which matches the characteristics of…

Inexpensive Tire Best Tire and Tube

I used to have Vittoria Zaffiro Pro Slick tires on my Cannondale CAAD9 5 and loved these tires but had a few punctures within the first 200 miles and then a streak that messed up one during New York. Century. I decided I needed something more permanent but without the huge expense. I've driven about 100 miles on these tires and I really like them. 23s ordered. They are slightly narrower than a Zaffiro of the same size. Believe it or not, the Serfa Seca seems to handle corners a little better…

Great tires - work quite well

Just cool red tires. The biggest problem we have here in this backwoods of woods are the so-called "stickers" - I don't know exactly what they are - they look like possible weeds or tree saplings - but they're triangular things anyway and all sharp-edged come out and they cut through regular bike tires like a hot knife through butter. I've been using them for about 4 years now and haven't experienced any flatness in regular cycling. This year I bought some extra "slimy" tubes to be a little…

Quality road tire

I have used them on my regular road bike in the past and have been pleased with their low roll and high puncture resistance. In the past I have used Hutchinson Top Speed (which is a gross understatement but hopefully low) and various Michelins such as Pro Race 2, 3 and Lithion. All are much better than the Hutchinsons, but they all had apartments. Surfs are harder and don't seem any less fast. I drove 100 miles in them through Wichita Falls and no apartments. (Although there were plenty of…
