I am so grateful for the ability to find products online during this pandemic. I was given an old Singer sewing machine to help me make masks for our community and it had no cord or pedal to operate it. So I found one online that fit this 401A model and was curious if it would work and it did. Thank you for your service!

Purchased for Singer 401a Nut. Aside from tipping over a box full of spools of thread, I had no problem setting up the controls. She tested it on a piece of fabric and was pleased that it worked the first time, every time. It certainly takes some getting used to, but she had no complaints! I expect the carpet to stop burning holes like the old resistance-based controls.

Thank you for the updated replacement pedal for my Singer 401A sewing machine. It works great and gives my car a real performance boost. It took quite a bit of jiggling to attach it to the car's body for the knee controls to properly depress this new pedal. I want to mention this if someone is using it to control the knee and not the leg. My Singer from 1959, but Singer #65 for much older machines.
