Most reviews were 5 stars, I must have received a pair that weren't heat treated properly, it was a waste of money and the return window was closed so the seller won and I lost too , the scissors lasted about a month and have been used very little, they don't even cut thin material, the free scissors you get at HF cut material better than these now so I'm currently using them. maybe someone else will get a nice pair that will last a long time, mine --- went in the bin.

These scissors are a bit large (10 inches). The blades are very sharp and cut well. I first bought them to cut thick carpets. The angle of the handle allows the blades to wrap around the ground. The fleshy scissors are strong enough to withstand any bend when cutting heavy material (carpet backing). I had my doubts about the quality of these shears after buying the first pair to try due to the low price and the all metal look and description. Made in China, the geometry (shape) of the blade is very different than what I'm used to. However, this does not affect the fact that they work very well. I used professional grade scissors up to 14 inches long. They are too short and too light for me. 12 inches would be perfect for me personally.
