The seller was asking about $40 each, no labor required. They fold and unfold relatively easily and work great. Just remember to brace the trunk when you take the old ones off or you'll get beat up.

Very easy to install. I have a 2011 Ford Taurus. To make life easier, just remove the clips on the hinges that keep the trunk from expanding excessively. And it will just put the supports.

If they fail on your car it creates a very dangerous situation, not to mention trouble. This solves it in less than 90 seconds. Grab a flat-handled screwdriver and the job will be done in no time. These are high quality products. B

Installed on a 2011 Taurus SE in five minutes (no spoiler) and half of that was reading the manual and finding a screwdriver that went into the Slot for the compression band fits. I opened the trunk, removed the old ones, put in the new ones, opened and closed several times and everything works as it should.

2 minute install, just need a small pick or screwdriver to knock out the c-clip on the old post and knock out the post. A new one can be installed by aligning the ball/socket and clicking. Use a broom, an umbrella (in that trunk you just opened lol) to prop up the trunk lid so you don't get a headache. Knowing you just saved a hundred dollars, priceless

Two months with these lifters on my 13 year old Taurus and everything works great. Note: Both trunk hinges have rubber plugs that must be removed to facilitate installation of these luggage racks. (These stops act like a cushion when the trunk lid reaches its fully open position and in my case they were painted the same color as the car). Once the racks are installed, simply slide the stops back in and you're done. If the stoppers are not removed, the posts appear to need to be compressed about

The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because there were no instructions. Of course, if you're mechanically inclined, it's not hard to figure out what to do. Overall a great purchase. I mounted them with a screwdriver. I used a screwdriver to pry up the retaining clips to remove the supports and did the same with the new supports before attempting to install them.
