    Works but requires some improvisation

    This helped remove a pair of 3 inch bearings from the rear of the Ford car, but it took some fiddling and improvisation to get it working. As other reviewers have pointed out, the legs don't stay in place when pressure is applied, so you'll need to restrain them somehow. I happened to have a stock cage so I used that. 3 stars for performance and an extra star for a good price.

    Mixed feelings about tool

    Puller jaws moved apart and lost grip on bearing. Tried pulling the small bearing out about a dozen times, it slipped and fell out, finally gave up on another type of puller that was better at holding the jaws together and supporting it on the first try. Thought of returning it but put it in my tool box, maybe someday it will find a use. looks like it should have worked, seemed sturdy enough.

    Help Needed: Bearing Puller

    The design is simple. I needed this for the narrow jaws on the end that did a good job of pulling my gear out of the recessed case it was in. However, after exiting the case, the puller was unable to complete the removal. The hands have no way of keeping tension on them to prevent them from spreading. First, the body interfered. After cleaning the hull I had to get creative and use other tools to push the levers down to keep them from falling apart. Ultimately, it did the job, but with a lot of

    Despite reading mixed reviews I decided to give it a try. I really didn't want to use heat unless absolutely necessary for fear of damaging something. Another reviewer recommended using a hose clamp, which worked well. I think it's well built on its own as the gear blade is broken, not the tool. I'll keep it for future use as it has small but sturdy feet to fit into tight spaces, like my 1.8 liter Miata. See photo. I've been struggling to take off my gear for days!     The only wiper arm puller for the 2013 Ford Escape!

    The Only 2013 Ford Escape Wiper Arm Puller! This is the only squeegee that is wide enough and has the right profile to fit around and under the wiper arm on this vehicle. In addition, it is very robust and well made. I never see this hack. I added some lithium grease to the center component to make it a little easier to turn.     Mechanic Review - Tools & Equipment

    Poorly designed tool. The arms do not have enough lateral support to prevent them from "swaying" during the pull. So the flat teeth on the end will come loose and you will have to reinstall the puller. You can get around this by using a large heatsink style zip tie to hold the clamps closed and tight to the component you are pulling on.
