The screw that secures the moveable strut to the threaded adjustment rod has snapped off so the phone is not being held under tension. Being a good jack of all trades, I had a spare screw and had to rethread the hole by screwing the new screw in and out one at a time. Now the device works perfectly. Great design - poor workmanship.

Got this for my iPhone and was very happy with it. The construction is solid and I can achieve literally any orientation I want - portrait, landscape, everything in between - very easily. The grip is adjustable and well padded, it looks like it will fit any iPhone and can be made as comfortable as you like. Mounted on a small tripod. Holds my iPhone 11 Pro very securely. phone in a thin body. Other grips raised concerns as the phone wasn't completely secure. This holder is 100% secure in the way it holds my phone. Bonus feature: Since the arm can be swiveled horizontally, I can level the horizon even if the tripod is not level. Pro tip: Rotate the clamp so the clamp handle is on the bottom. This places a 1/4-20 jack on top for installing light, mic, cold shoe, etc.
