Not much more than a conventional solder coupling.

This is a grave bomb! No soldering, quick and easy installation. Waterproof and very comparable in price to a conventional solder sleeve (also minimal work and no material required). I used mine with PE-RT tubing.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • There are nuances

Easiest plumbing job I've ever done.

I wanted to add a soft water faucet. I decided to try these shark bite attachments, I used to be a copper plumer. As long as those rubber rings don't rot or leak, I love these things. I still have some reservations about using them. rubber rots.

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • Slightly dented

No leaks, copper pitch work etc.

As expected. Adds a 1/2" pipe to an existing 3/4" pipe (or anything else in your application). Does it work for everything advertised (I think). Added 1/2" copper line to 3/4" copper line. Apparently it works for copper, pex, cpvc and something else. So, based on the OD, any choice of material affects the water volume.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Peace of mind, easy install

I like Sharkbite fittings because they are so easy to use, just pop in and go. I use them extensively under the house where they are available in case of a leak, although none of these fittings leak and I've used them for several years. I still don't use them indoors in a closed house in case of a leak. I like removing the plastic inserts required for PEX tubing because they can make it difficult to insert copper tubing where it is not needed. I prefer that the fittings come in separate…

Wrong, I've exceeded the return deadline

I ordered this hardware for my parents' cabin in the mountains. I ordered it in August but haven't been able to get to the project until now, October. I opened the box, I had the right faucet, the right shark bite elbow, but the bag opened with the wrong adapter tee in the bag. It's meant to be a push to connect the fitting, but it has rounded ends that require a crimping tool to install. I live in a small town with few hardware stores 300 miles from home. ArrrgghhUpdate, 10/23/2018 Ayush, a…
