Bought 3 of these to replace our shower valve. I love this fit. You don't need to solder anything. They changed quickly. The exchange lasted about an hour.

These socket fittings are quite expensive but they are great. Such a pleasure to use and they fit snugly in air and water. I've used them in many applications (water lines, high pressure air lines, etc.) and they don't leak. I would highly recommend them for your next DIY project.

2 out of 4 had a 1 drip per minute leak in my shower unit. It was brand new 1/2" pipe that used a SharBite brand deburring tool to verify proper depth. I'd definitely recommend saving a couple of 1/2" Sharkbite Plugs for emergencies, but I would never install these fittings behind drywall where they cannot be seen.

Everyone knows how good shark bites work. It's foolishly simple and works fantastically. I couldn't find any fittings with the Sharkbite name so I had to buy another brand. I thought they were the same. They work the same way, but the fit of the original Sharkbite is a little tighter. Play a little less. Definitely a better fit than imitation fit.

They look authentic and are a little cheaper than in store so why not save some money and have it delivered to my door at the same time. I used to play around with soldering copper, but now with one-step CPVC glue and these fittings, the time saving is just plain obvious - it cuts my time in half. I also love that you can rotate the NPT fitting if you notice a drip anywhere on the threads without having to disassemble the plumbing.

I had a leak in the valve body behind the tub rim (durock, stone and ceramic) and had no choice but to cut it out with a hacksaw. I wanted to avoid destroying the rim of the tub. to replace the valve body, but it only had a hole about 4" x 4" in size to work with (definitely not enough to sweat the pipes). installed fittings on existing pipes. No demonstration, crisis averted, weekend saved and one happy wife. Would pay twice as much for this product :)

This SharkbBite connector is a quick way to get a good connection. I even worked with a pipe that water ran through. Cheap stuff and does the job right. This piece will allow you to connect and last for years. I've used them in projects at home. And yes, for those of you wondering, this part is internally threaded. I have provided product images.
