Forget sweaty pipes in the basement.

I omitted solder and flux and quickly repositioned some tubing with these connectors. Expensive but worth it if. In hopelessness.

I love Sharkbite works well with tube fittings

One of the best products ever invented. Has an arrow on the side to make sure you apply it correctly. Easy to apply and doesn't leak. I'm a big fan of Sharkbite products. WTG thanks for a simple DIY product.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

SharkBITE Works with Fittings

Used this item to install a drain pump from the plumbing at my existing home. It was easy to install and lasted over 5 months with no leaks or other issues. The price is high, but if you don't solder then try it.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Requires Outlet

Directs the flow of water in the right direction.

Does what it's supposed to. Installed it in the cold water supply line to my new instantaneous water heater. Sometimes water heaters can turn on momentarily when cold water is being used elsewhere in the home. The pressure drop in the cold line will cause water to flow back from the hot side and allow the heater to turn on. I don't know if what I just installed will do it. Just in case I got this.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Crumpled

A must have for tankless hot water installations

I think most people have tankless hot water installed in their garage but if yours is in the basement and is bothering someone in the room above this is for you! The flow sensor on my instantaneous water heater tripped when no cold water came into the house for several hours. Since my water heater was installed under the floor of my underground bedroom, it annoyed me that the water heater would turn on in the middle of the night when someone flushed the toilet. As soon as the toilet filled up…

Shark Bites: A Godsend for Plumbers

I have been a general contractor for several years and have never let a Shark Bite fitting fail when properly installed. Sometimes it makes sense to use copper fittings or PEX barb fittings when using PEX, and sometimes it makes sense to use Sharkbites. Almost 100% of the time I provide services to a client, it makes sense to use Sharkbites. The cost of making weld fittings is much more than the extra five or ten dollars to buy a Sharkbite fitting. I specifically used this fitting to install a…
