Almost not enough moisture. I have mixed curly hair. I recently started having highlights for the first time, so I wanted a shampoo with some extra moisture to keep my hair healthy. What matters to me is that shea moisturizers are much healthier for hair and the environment. What matters is how it smells or how thick it comes out of the bottle, although some moisturizing shea conditioners can be a little hard to squeeze out, this particular product has thick conditioner and it's not hard to get out of the tube, but that's it the problem. I'm usually a fan of SheaMoisture and recently switched to it after discontinuing my regular shampoo and conditioner. But WOW, the musky smell is insanely overpowering. It's definitely not an "essential oil blend". No doubt they use a synthetic flavor and it seems like they accidentally added 100 times more. Gave this product 3 stars because it was a decent product but I wouldn't buy it again. I bought this because shea butter is known for making shampoos and conditioners free of sulfates and all those horrible parabens. Although it did moisturize the ends of my hair, I originally bought this product because I was experiencing hair loss (much more than usual) and found that it was due to a very dry and flaky scalp.
