Heavy duty Good for material handling

You must have 10" of clearance under the gate or you must mount on a brace that extends the mounting bracket at least 4 1/8". from the gate. So you can get by with gates that are 3 inches off the ground.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Heavy Duty Gate Wheels

Definitely works better than the Gate Wheels you find in big box stores, just make sure to grease and oil the bearings to make them last run and roll freely. Very easy to install. My double gate now rolls very easily. I recommend this product.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Quality product for rollers

This is a quality product. No doubt it will take many years. This will help keep my gate from sagging. I'm not sure where it was made but I'm happy with the product. Yes, it's more expensive than others, but I'm glad I got the quality that comes with the high price. Hope this review helps you.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Bracket needs improvement!

Mounting bracket needs revision. Looks like a simple bolt on installation but positioning the wheel relative to the bracket AND the gate doesn't work that well as the wheel itself is too close to the gate's vertical mounting plane and interferes with the assembly. I need to design a spacer to position the wheel farther from the gate.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • No performance

Robust roller track

My gate is 2.50 m long and has a 4x6 post. There shouldn't be any sag issues with this bike. Spring doesn't seem too strong, but it's doing its job. I like butter there. I was missing some parts of the included U-bolts. I don't care since I'm mounting it on a wooden fence. I wish there were 3/8 screws included. A good product.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Only available in black

It is important to measure before ordering.

It is important to understand how this wheel attaches to your gate. An 8" wheel requires at least a 4" setback from the gate surface for the wheel to rotate 360 degrees. So your gate needs to be hanging fairly high off the ground for the wheel to complete a full rotation. Otherwise, you'll end up creating an extra 2" of clearance to make the wheel workable, since the wheel mount has a U-bracket 2" deep that attaches to the surface of the gate. Plan accordingly.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Update Availability

Great idea, poor technique, execution!

I was finally able to install this on our 16', 2' tubular gate which is well under the weight capacity of this gate wheel. First, there are a few things to note about this setup. The wheel spins, but the bracket offset isn't enough for it to spin without hitting the gate unless you want 8-10 inches of clearance under your gate. This requires an offset of 3-1/2". I bolted a piece of Unistrat to the horizontal arms of the gate and then bolted the bracket to it with a U-bolt, hence 2 stars forโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I'll write back later
