🚴 SHIMANO Brake Cable End Cap - Pack of 100 (1.6mm) Review

Color I wanted, large that I can use for shift cable caps too if I want and so many I think I never will either outside to run! . well not for a while anyway. They work great! Definitely recommend this product. Very worthy of the Shimano name, even if they're just caps.

I was somewhere between a box of five and a box of 100 but at this price I went for 100. I don't think I'll ever have to buy them again. They work great on brake or shift cables. Park Tool wire cutters have a good crimping tool for this. Looks way better than pliers.

I used them to rebuild two bikes on the shifter and brake cable ends. They work great. I'm not deducting a star for that, but it would be nice if the packaging was closed. I just crimp them with a knife on needle nose pliers - just don't press too hard and don't cut them. I usually do 2 crimps.

What can I say? These are the ends of the Shimano brake cables. They fit perfectly and are easy to assemble with the right tool. The cost per box of 100 is much better than buying several per pack. It's going to take me a while to use them all, but this way I have a good supply and I didn't pay a silly $#@% price for some of them.

Random bikes (via Revain) arrived on time and exactly as pictured - OEM in sealed bag in Shimano box. I've used them to terminate wire ends on a new brake cable and then terminated some "loose ends" on a couple of other bikes. In addition, these 1/6 mm ends are also ideal for shift cables. Just walk around them a little more and you'll be fine.
