Works great - bike brakes and parts

I was able to swap out the front wheel for a smaller one with a shock fork instead of the standard rigid fork. Now I can actually mountain bike without pain.

So many adapters in Bike Brakes & Parts

So many different adapters. The F180P/P2 is probably the most requested and most used. I actually have post mount calipers and needed them for my front brake so I could fit a 160.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

I have a Specialized AWOL that comes with Tektro Spyre post-mount calipers and 160mm rotors front and rear. With the F180P/P2 adapter I was able to increase the front and rear brakes from 160 mm to 180 mm. The adapters are well made and fit my bike perfectly. If you want to upgrade from a 160mm to a 180mm tripod, you need this adapter. I've added a picture showing the rear brake with spacer and 180mm rotor. As you can see, the shim raises the caliper and rotates it back a bit to keep the pads…

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Minor repairability

The rear caliper works the same as the front

Shimano does not offer the best recommendations for using this adapter. For my frame mounted rear caliper I used this adapter (F180P/P2) to increase the rear rotor size from 160mm to 180mm. The instructions that came with the adapter only show front fork mounting and not rear "frame" mounting, but I have included a photo of the adapter mounting. Please note that the conical discs are placed on the brake caliper. Installation went smoothly. The pads wrap around the rotor in the right place…

Pros
  • delivery was very quick
Cons
  • crumpled
