great hubs for sport

These Shimano XT hubs don't need much to be said. They are very well made and will last forever with proper care. Got them at a great price and shipped quickly.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • I have no bad feelings everything is fine

You can't argue for this money

For so much money there is nothing better. Of course, there are much better hubs out there that cost a lot more money. I chose it for assembling Surly Ogre and have not been disappointed so far.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Little things

Shimano speaks for itself

Great hub. Excellent price. Too bad Shimano had to ruin the American market for their aftermarket parts. If you still manage to find one, these hubs (front and rear) will come in very handy.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Cleanliness

You can't go wrong with Shimano XT hubs!

Got these as an upgrade to my bike and put disc brakes in them and they have turned out to be very good. I was very proud of my upgrade and the ride was really smooth! No complaints!

  • Absolute Legend

This is a great hub, I have a new 26 inch tire with .

This is a great hub, I built a new 26" tire with Mavic 719, XT86 brake disc and hg400-9, they fit perfectly. Still waiting for more details to put this tire on my bike to mount.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Alright

Good product, good value for money.

I am adapting a 21 speed sprocket for use as a motorized bike with a 4.4hp 2 stroke chainsaw engine. The motor would turn the pedal crankshaft through a reduction gear and I wanted a well designed and economical rear hub to match a 10 speed cassette. Due to my height and weight I use 12 gauge bike spokes so I need to slightly enlarge the spoke holes in the hub flanges but I am very happy with the result.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

It's a Shimano Deore rear hub!

Shimano Deore components are very durable and I would definitely recommend them. I would also recommend inspecting any components with bearings to make sure they are properly lubricated. This particular hub is a cup and cone with loose ball bearings on both sides. When I opened up the non-drive end, two bearings fell out. Both sides needed lubrication. Finding a new Shimano hub without grease is very disappointing. I replaced my worn bushing with this new one. In general the center is…

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only
