The product is average, Im not sure its worth the money.

The chain has traveled 6000 km. He did a measurement on the chain tension. For 100 links, it stretched by 6.5 mm (0.5% of the length or 50% wear), but the problem is far from the chain stretch, but the rollers themselves. They are very much demolished both externally and internally. If you take measurements inside the chain between the rollers, then the wear exceeds the norm by approximately 25-30 times.

Pros
  • strong chain
Cons
  • Weak rollers

Came with the wrong pin, broke and cost me $200

My fault? Maybe because it was my first chain that didn't use a master link (buy a few, they're much better in the field) so I installed the pin but felt it was wrong. I was riding the bike around the block, having to stand on the handles to get out of the way and the chain snapped, snapping the butt of my Deor, multiple spokes, cables, suspension and bending the rim. The bike shop confirmed it was an 11 speed pin. The chain came in a loose pouch, not a Shimano box. The needle was in another…

The quick link is NOT suitable.

I have a Giant Contend 1 (2017 version) and needed to replace my bike chain. I removed the bike chain and resized the new chain. I put the chain back in place and tried to connect the two links. After installing a page. It's time to install a quick link that doesn't fit according to the instructions. I happened to use my old bike chain quick link and it worked. The packaging was good but the quick link provided didn't work at all. I would suggest anyone who has done this to make a video on how…

Get it while you can

This is the highest quality Shimano chain you can buy for a 7/8 speed drivetrain. I use them on my road bikes and mountain bikes. The last ones I bought came in individual plastic bags, not a box, and they didn't come with a Hyperglide needle. I have a few of these in the parts box so that's not a problem, but be aware. They are also (and always have been) packed in heavy motor oil that needs to be flushed before installation. I've been using Shimano chains for over 30 years and I've never…

Difficult to install, but possible! Maybe

"Quick Link" is not typical for 11-speed. It has 2 pins on one side and a link with an oval hole where you put the pins on the other side. It's insanely difficult if not impossible if you follow Shimano's instructions. I will try to spare you the biggest disappointment. Insert the 2-pin link into the chain (as shown). On the other side of the chain, slide the oval link onto a pin (use the side marked "narrow", the writing on the link should be on the outside of the chain as instructed), then…
