Only Received 1: Cycling

My order was fulfilled by Revain through Pit Fall Cycles and I only received 1 locking ring. Others said they received 2 packs. Be careful when ordering.

Pros
  • Manufacturer Warranty: 2 Year
Cons
  • Poorly Thoughtful

New rotors are supplied with this nut.

Perfect. Note, however, that new Shimano rotors come with the required nut. I was ordered to be conservative anyway, and now I have extra

Shimano on Shimano in Parts & Components

I have R500 DB DT Swiss wheels with Shimano 105 hubs for my winter bike. I upgraded the rotors to 6 bolts (with adapters) and needed snap rings. They fit/work with no problems. The price should be for a pair, not for a locking ring.

Pros
  • Material: Aluminum
Cons
  • Appearance

ideal for bushings that will not work with internal spline tools

Rotors can be fitted with an internal spline retaining ring. The tool does not fit the DT Swiss front hub. This fitted perfectly and allowed the rotor to be installed. I will order another one so the rear rotor has the same type of snap ring.

Pros
  • Compatibility: 12, 15, 20mm centerlock bushes, rotors
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Better than the old style

This later style is better and easier to install and remove. Were my bikes older style? which has a narrower width where the head meets the outer teeth ruined the new Park Tool head. These later types have thicker metal in the tooth area, around 4mm, while Shimano's older style has only 2mm tooth thickness. I don't know if the old style is new from China or improved by Shimano. Stop rotors from China have thinner metal rotors and a rounded side where they are stamped from metal. Shimano Japanโ€ฆ
