🔧 Efficient Lubrication for SHIMANO SG-700 Alfine Hub: 50ml of Alfine Hub Oil Review

Worked very well. We drained the hubs and put this oil in. 11 high-speed hubs are buzzing again. Very satisfied with the product, delivery, execution of Revain.

I have the accessories from the Rohloff oil change set, like the syringe, which also fits on a Shimano 11-speed hub. So I could easily change the oil on my Shimano 11-speed. Shimano's document states that this oil should be used for both cleaning and lubrication. Rohloff has an additional cleaning fluid. In order to use this oil on a Shimano 11-speed hub, an oil syringe from Shimano (or equivalent from Rohloff) must be purchased.

oil is good but the shimano brand kit (syringe and threaded hose are ridiculously expensive ($60+)) instead I bought a Rohloff kit which fits onto a shimano hub and works great I don't know if Rohloff oil is equivalent or not so I used Shimano oil Rohloff also includes a "cleaning solution" that needs to be used first The truth is you can't pour all the oil out, so it's probably best to squirt 20ml of "cleansing oil" the first time.

Two stars only because of the outrageous price. I used this oil in my 11 speed IGH Alfine. I also had to buy a Shimano oil change kit that has a syringe and a special nipple to attach to the hub. The cost of the kit was even more outrageous. The oil change was easy and took an hour, with most of the time being spent draining the oil from the hub.
