I love shifting. Very clear and fast. I personally prefer it over SRAM GX. The product also includes many cable jackets. The gear indicator can be removed and the included cover used instead.

Wanted to mount all the new xt items on my bike to ride on the last warm days we have. I screwed everything up only to realize upon adjusting the switch that this switch is a friggin' 7-way! The shifter wasn't boxed like new so it makes sense that it was meant to be some sort of throwback and things got mixed up. Pretty messy.

The M8000 shifters look really well made but I returned them immediately because they shift so tightly even without the shifter attached. You need some serious finger strength to use them and not hurt yourself. Replaced them with Deore M5100's which aren't as well made but MUCH less stiff and easier to use for younger riders.
