Good capacity for vise

Underfloor mounting simplifies installation. The jaw faces are flat and the pre-drilled holes for mounting wood paneling are easy. Con - screw with fine thread. You twist and turn to open or close this vise. A small penalty for a low price. Satisfied!

Works but not well with power tools and hand tools

Fine, but just right. And the reason is that the screw does not have a high thread, just a normal thread. It seems to me that this is a regular threaded rod. I would not have bought this product if I had known about it. This doesn't really affect the clamping capacity of the vise, but it does affect the speed at which the vise opens and closes, which can be an issue when working with different sized workpieces. The need to do 10-15 turns of the handle instead of 3-4 only aggravates the…

He does what he has to do.

Well it does what it's supposed to do. However, I have three problems with it. 1. I agree with another reviewer that the carving really had to be perfect. use) and too narrow in diameter (uncomfortable) 3. The last complaint also concerns the grip. It's too close to the front jaw, I keep tapping my knuckles while tightening it. I think it's built to last and will probably last a lot longer than I did. It would be nice if ergonomics were taken into account in the design.
