Poor production quality control. The length of the stem of the table tensioning handle for the strap is at least 1 inch shorter, so you can't even tension it because the handle will start rubbing against the table. The disc sanding table is forged from cast iron but does not sit exactly where it will cut into the disc and prevent it from spinning when it attaches to the main chassis.
