Show Chrome Accessories 41 180 Antenna Review

Long factory antenna replaced with this short one when I added a touring pack to my 2016 Road Glide. All the major local stations did relatively well. Some of the distant stations I heard couldn't be picked up unless I was outdoors. Not a bad buy for the price and easy installation. Except for the active antenna, I am satisfied with the purchase.

Got this for my 2011 Can Am Spyder RT. It works but I lost about 1/4 of the stations I got with the standard antenna and many stations went on and off. Don't get me wrong, it's ok, but I don't want to give up so many channels and sound quality. Status update: I have replaced Show Chrome Accessories 41-180 (B01M9C15A9) with AntennaMastsRus (B01N33D1NC) - 6 3/4 INCH SHORT Rubber Antenna and I have much better reception as a result. So I would definitely choose AntennaMastsRus B01N33D1NC

I broke the long antenna 3 times. Enough, I started looking for a complete replacement that wouldn't bend in the wind and wouldn't get caught on the garage door. The long antenna was a bad idea. Installed this antenna in 10 minutes. I spent six minutes searching for an Allen wrench and the right size head. Both are metric, install the Allen screw in the antenna and tighten. Edit 9/6/17: Standard antenna sent back. I removed the top protective cap, cut 12 inches off the top and put the cap back on. Riding the shortened canopy turned out to be a disappointment. The stations I normally get were often marginal at best. Shortening the factory antenna has proven its worth. to be the best compromise between hassle and reception. I'm tired of stabbing myself in the garage or tucking/loosening the tip under the top box cover. Used to replace the stock antenna on a 2017…
