Sharp and easy to use

Bought these for my son to use on his new electric smoker. He has used them several times and loves them. He says they are strong and sharp enough to easily tear his pork shoulder.

Great Grill Grips Claws

These grips are really good quality. The metal is a lot thicker than I thought it would be and they are very strong. The handle is comfortable, fits well in my and my husband's hands. Much easier than using two molds to try and shred a whole pork belly. Definitely recommend them if you are looking for a good pair.

Decent but not great

I've recently started smoking meat and decided to get them when I'm cooking pulled pork. I used to have to shred meat with two forks, but now I use them. I was really hoping this would be a game changer but they ended up taking about the same time as my old method (two forks). They're useful when you're first separating the meat, but after that they're too bulky to really help. I ended up using them to pull out large chunks of meat first, then backtracked with the forks to get thinner pulled…

Very durable, ideal for pulled pork!

These metal meat claws are similar to the plastic ones except they won't melt when left in the sun or near a heat source. The metal claws are sharp but won't hurt you if you accidentally grab them, although they get hot in the sun. The handles are easy to grip and have a good grip to help separate meat, typically steak, chicken or pulled pork. Method. They might not be the most practical for chopping meat, but I think I look cool doing it!

I used these primarily for shredding chicken for carnitas tacos. So the chicken was well cooked and ready for slicing. I can say they definitely work better/faster than using two forks (especially with a plate of chicken), but the downside is that my wrists and arms get tired quickly. When I ate 5 pounds of cooked chicken breast, my forearms felt tired and my wrists hurt a little.
